You have Office 365.
Is it secure enough?
How to determine if Office 365 protection meets your needs.
Microsoft Office 365 is the de facto choice for many organizations when it comes to cloud-based email and collaboration tools, such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. However, while Office 365 offers a ton of native security controls, it’s simply not good enough to protect against impersonation, phishing, and sophisticated attacks.
In a recent Gartner report “Determine If Email Security in Office 365 Meets Your Organization’s Needs” leading industry analysts mention the demand for additional cloud email security capabilities, urging security experts to consider deploying Integrated Email Security Solution (IESS) tools—including ours—as a key additive for threat prevention.
- Exchange Online Protection (EOP) is Microsoft’s default email security capability that lacks advanced anti-phishing and other threat protection capabilities.
- With the rise of business email compromise (BEC)-type phishing, no secure email gateway (SEG) is 100% effective in blocking all attacks. This increase requires an additional email security solution for organizations with stringent email security needs. Gartner recognizes Perception Point in the list of available IESS solutions.
- Remote working has led to an increase in usage of messaging and collaboration tools that has introduced new threats to many organizations.
Our 2 cents
If you have Office 365 Email yet your users still receive malicious emails to their inboxes, then EOP doesn’t meet your requirements. You need to augment it. Perception Point might be what you are looking for.
